Palintest Photometer DPD 3 XT Test Tablets
Palintest DPD High Range Photometer Tablets are designed for testing chlorine levels using photometers.
DPD1 tablets test for free chlorine levels, with AP013 DPD1-XF (HR) Tablets x 250 indicating high range 0-10ppm free chlorine. DPD3 tablets measure combined chlorine levels, with AP033/1 DPD3-XT (HR) Tablets x 250 for high range 0-10ppm.
The DPD method, developed by Dr A T Palin, is internationally recognised for testing chlorine and disinfectant residuals. The reagents are provided in tablet form for ease of use. Free chlorine reacts with DPD to produce a pink colour proportional to its concentration. Additional reagents allow for measurement of combined chlorine, with colour intensities measured using a Palintest Photometer. The DPD Oxystop tablet prevents reactions with shock chemicals during testing.
